Making Web3 Apps more Accessible with Fiat On-Ramp Integration - Yeshu Agarwal

cool good afternoon everyone um i'm here from tranzact um we are fiat on ramp so here i'm getting here to talk about making blockchain application accessible to mainstream users before i start i want to know audience like how many of you guys know about feed on ramp like please raise your hand cool okay sounds good yeah so um just just to um say like uh before i start like uh uh for the for the people who are not knowing about a theatre on ramp uh futon ramp is like um it's like applica okay like let me give an example with uh if you guys not knowing about vietnam so so let's talk about the problem which uh generally you guys are facing while building your applications or decentral applications hello or our protocol is um let's say you you created a um let's take an example of compound okay like uh normal users they visit compound app website they they basically it asks them to connect your wallet and uh then in their mind is like what is wallet they learn about wallet right and it takes few days or or maybe weeks to learn about uh like basically normal audience like web 2 uses they doesn't understand all these jargons like private key wallet and all these things so um the flow is like they learn about those things then they then they create the wallet then they see okay i have zero balance there then they go to exchange like coinbase and they they buy some uh crypto like for that to buy also probably they need to do some trading like like they need to understand what is bids what is ask and all these things uh it's also new thing for them like uh maybe they haven't done that in the past so it takes some time for them like uh do the kyc in the exchanges then they then they transfer that to the to the to the wallet again they are not sure like uh are are they sending in a right wallet address or not and they probably think like maybe i'll be losing my funds so think about as a user like how the user is thinking here when they use your application so the whole process takes a lot of time includes learning like uh um and then probably seven days and also they lose some some some of the interest let's say five percent or of the money right like by transferring from one one wallet to another wallet or from exchange to all these things so so yeah like uh this is a problem where they face when they start using your application or your protocol right um now the solution is um in your website or in your application mobile app or whatever you guys are creating you you integrate on-ramps on-ramps is like a mini exchange format where you can integrate it and people can directly buy crypto using using the using the fiat money like using the usd gbp using the local payment method right and is really fast like uh within within few minutes they complete the basic kyc and then they uh they can get the crypto directly to their uh to the application or wallet or whatever their you guys are using so first is that like crypto fiat api within the application second is passwordless login and wallet creation where user does not need to understand uh what is private key like they you guys don't need to ask them like hey go to metamask engines create a wallet and all these things they can directly use something like taurus magic or something like that and they can create a wallet there and uh and then and then um the user can use the on ramp and they top up their funds and last thing is easy kyc so as you can see the flow here like um transact uh embedded directly in your application and user directly buy and use your application without leaving your application so this is this will make your application accessible to uh two main audience right and you can you can uh target to the people where people doesn't know about crypto at all so this is how we have seen the future like uh right now it is not but this is the future we are seeing people go doing the login via email or or google login facebook login then they uh they see the balance their zero zero ethereum or whatever they top up there using on-ramp transact on-ramp and then they they successfully uh pay the amount and then they can use your application just like normal web 2 application right so this is a flow which we are seeing in near future and introducing transact so we we and transact we are solving this problem since last two and a half years and we are dedically working on this so that we can help you guys to onboard web 2 users right like mainstream audience and here we we offer v8 on-ramp services is live in almost uh 120 countries we are supporting local paid methods um bank transfer separate bank transfer in uk europe we have licenses in in uk and uh also we are the only on-ramp in india uh we about to launch that in a few days um so yeah like um um then then we have a developer apis where you can have a white label integration where um where user user can just see the basic uh screen and and it will be very easy flow easy easy customizable widget where you guys can change the color of the widget have skip lots of screens as per your um application then uh soon we'll be also launching fiat off-ramp where people can also sell cryptocurrency like right now they can buy cryptocurrency so um that will be done in like two months and um and yeah like we we use kyc so we are building our own kyc system so in near future we'll be also uh having a decentralized kyc system but right now when the user is doing the kyc they don't need to do the kyc again so that's a reusable kyc so so yeah how it works so under the hood we we take care of all the all the complexity like getting the licenses taking care of the compliance charge backs and all these things this is our responsibility so if you are building any application just uh think about building it don't need to focus on getting the licenses or or any legal work this is our responsibility where we are taking care of like liquidity fiat payment processing and the flow it looks like user comes to our widget uh basically in your app it they will open the widget they they will they will place the order then they will do the kyc uh as per their order amount and um user takes the payment and then we we send the crypto to the to the user's wallet so i if if you guys are building some kind of protocol we love to work together with you guys so have a [Music] different user experience where we can do on-ramp directly to protocol where user doesn't need to call um the user does not need to buy two cryptocurrency let's say usdc or ethereum so something like that we can work together if that kind of requirement comes so we love to chat about that so what kind of users we have we have four different kinds of user base uh partners which we say one is wallet so if you use metamask you will see transact is integrated in the metamask and you can buy cryptocurrency using the metamask wallet itself there are four different kind of wallets which are using transact right now press wallet metamask terra there are some gamings and nfts marketplace which also uh integrated with transact uh decent land cryptoblade is one of the good um and zedran then we worked with several blockchains polygon like polygon arbitrarily optimism uh tera so so yeah like uh um and then say 5d5 so if you guys are building any application for web 2 users like uh like this is something which we are very uh passionate about to work together and have very good user experience there so so yeah so this is the how the flow of uh the user looks like so right now when when when when it comes to onboarding when the user's first time coming to tranzact like uh using a metamask this is how how the flow looks like so user first create the wallet by by confirming the seed phrase then they see the wallet itself then they click on buy by ethereum there after they click buy ethereum then transact widget pops up user completes the whatever the kyc and then they they they get the crypto in the wallet so this is how the flow looks like from the user side we also have a case study with zedran so the few minutes back which i was seeing the example of where people create their wallet where user doesn't need to know about private keys zedrun did that example so if you guys go to z run you guys can create uh users can create their own wallet using email uh they integrate with magic and then they opening transact there so the whole the user does not need to know about private key and user can easily uh buy cryptocurrency and use zedren to buy horses from there so the next wave of entrepreneurs we see like you like you guys create something and uh and yeah like uh we help you to support her with the integrations any any developer help we are happy to help here the way paint crypto like can you elaborate on possible ways to integrate um that market we haven't um explore till yet we we love to work on those markets uh firstly we are our target markets are um [Music] are this this is our target market right now gaming nfts wallets blockchain safe idfi yeah um can you talk a bit more about how you compare to other on-ramps cool so there are a few other on-ramps moonpay um um yeah like we compare us with moonpay uh especially so so yeah like they they are majorly into uh i would say nfts we are we are focusing more on uh towards gaming and safari defy side so like every on-ramps have their own specialities so we we are going on that direction yeah uh like but but you will find some things like uh like we have indian on ramp like where you can onboard indian users probably you're not finding that there you'll find ach there but you'll not find here like it's like some some some something will be missing there something will be missing there so it's like kind of that um since we still have some time maybe i'll ask another question to you so you mentioned this kind of uh onboarding difficulties that uh users face in crypto faces for mass adoption what are some other challenges you would say that tranzact wants to target other than the fiat onramp or some other solutions that's that's very good question so i will say right now we are working on that solution which i mentioned but in near future we see us uh helping as as we are a bridge between centralized and decentralized finance uh also not centralized in decent finance like centralized and decentralized world so i would say we are we are focusing towards attacking like uh working towards uh decent identity where we are also collecting the kyc of the users right like working on that direction helping them helping protocols to provide credit scores all these things uh to the partners so that's something so that we can help partners to uh to build onboard new users and the the apis
