[Music] web 3 Bridge cohort 9 sponsored by bass so um this is my week 10 as a student of three Bridge 9 like the founder said the sh week so week 10 was the beginning of we introduced to Foundry testing by and that me is another um that's used in for smart contract up this moment we have used ad wech to family and we also started test unit test in Foundry this allows us to test for different um test cases in our in our smart contract and there were some cheat codes that enabled us to like test and some situations like the time which was like being the Trap the um could like prank addresses we could prank um private skid as well and this while I was testing like I kind of found some I never expected I could see he shock you and that was really interesting and found is a tool that helps us smart contracts so um Foundry is just like ad ad is also a tool for building smart contract but how that was built with JavaScript so that means for after you write your solidity code you for you to like use scripting and testing you have to use JavaScript all transcripts but then um Foundry gives you um a better um thing to work with because because you code in solidity you can also test with solidity and also deploy with solidity and this was what we explored last week we were able to learn how to test with Foundry and also um descripting part but in the test part we also learned about some cheat codes in which Foundry gives us and this sheet code comes with a library VM and that's Li gives us access to impersonating users franking users to make transactions with their addresses and um also um like a lot of other things you can do in simulation because what testing give us is like a simulated environment where you can do anything you can try to prank somebody try to act like your V on blockchain are you serious wow wow wow wow that's so crazy so that you can so you can be able to test your smart contract and test different conditions in your smart contract and it was fun learning how to use Foundry and I think on my personal preference I'll prefer Foundry to that g a d about two different house the first house we were giv was um like kind of uh a marketplace where people can come place like ERS and create order for their nlts and people can come buy um an N from the marketplace so that t was really enlightening so we talked about like I said signature where you are before you have to create an order you have to sign the message when like that mess to be verified before you your to the marketplace the second T we did was a proof kind of T where we have a list of listed addresses that can come and cl tokens tokens we work with a medob in which we we had scripts and a list of addresses that are qualified for particular job so we gr SCS that allows us to generate a me route for list of addresses generate M generate leaves and not for us so we we gr a f SM Contra F that allows that only allows the list of addresses to qu like qualify for our particular so we the whole point of the using the whiteed addresses or using the be able to compare the white addresses and the set of addresses that that we want to get so if someone comes to our that our contract and wants to get our drob when he connect or she connects his wallet then it's it's to be the wallet if not it won't be able to take my and it was amazing knowing how to build this thing how to build an a contract from scratch it was so amazing also test for both DS uh the test was really nice because was I basically I took like the like 24 hours the whole day without like an hour of sleep just to like complete that, it was really enlightening and interesting [Music] and of Rel I look forward to week 11 and I know a lot to offer and Sh thank you very much web 3 Bridge cohort 9 sponsored by Bass [Music]
