We're in the best city for conferences.
So, we're here in Khan. It is 2026.
We are at Pragma conference which is always a great conference with plenty of interesting people.
Every time it's it's the vibes, the culture, the community. Right. This is where you come to see your friends and new people that are entering the space as well.
Good morning everybody. My name is Cartek, one of the co-founders of ETH Global and I'm super excited to welcome all of you to Pragma. Pragma is a great focused event. There's a ton of conferences not just in crypto in AI and generally the developer space and it can feel overwhelming. There are a lot of conferences which are not that high value for your time.
This one is not one of them. This one is really where you have only super high quality builders who get together and are able to brainstorm and collaborate with each other. building products that are more empowering for people because they're built on blockchains. This lovely combination of really really good builders like they've built some of the kind of iconic projects in our space but also builders that were never just in it for the tech like that are very valuesdriven in protecting and furthering human agency. These are super valuable all the way from just meeting new people uh meeting new people in the industry, sharing experiences, sharing opinions, sharing tools, software, all of the all of the fun stuff.
Since the start, we were trying to make assets and collateral be more productive in general. So we started from we started with the proof of stake systems and quorums and infrastructure in general and now catering to financial infrastructure as well. So uh onchain private credits, insurance and liquidity as well.
Today's talk was really introducing this maybe somewhat controversial vision for the next 9 months that wallets as we know them are going to die. They're going to completely dissolve into the back end and they're going to be replaced with new types of user interfaces.
At Ledger, we have a security research lab that's called the dungeon uh that they created in 2017. Their mission is to raise the bar for security in the ecosystem and al mostly for ledger product. And when you are in security, you know very well that the best way to secure product is to try to break them. You find vulnerabilities and you improve security.
The food is great. No, like I this is probably the best venue for for the conference that I travel to.
Ideas become concrete. Even just conversations spark something that might change the way you see something. So for me like I think space is like pragma shared ideology shared technology shared missions. I don't think you can replicate that.
We might see some like really interesting experimentation like like you know procedurally generated UIs for specific people or segments of customers. Uh but I think what we'll really see is natural language prompts replacing a lot of the clunky UX behind wallets. We're not going to have point-and-click wallets anymore. We'll just have say what you want. An agent's going to do it in the back end for you without even really you thinking much about it.
Our industry is very unique because it actually serves what people need to be served during times of crisis, right? And I can't think of any other industry in our whole world which is like that. I think other industries like AI in many cases make our problems even worse. Crypto solves the issues of our time. And I think that's a very unique thing to be able to uh to work on.
One of the better ways to keep your ear to the ground and make sure that you are, you know, seeing what people are building next because I think a lot of alpha is is build in these in these events. And I think it's uh for me at least as a as a builder and and as someone who is trying to keep up with where the industry is going, it's definitely uh essential.
