Thank you to everyone who joined us for ETHGlobal Lisbon! After being away from Europe for almost a year, we've decided to bring the heat and excitement back to the stunning historic streets of Lisbon! All over the world, hundreds of thousands of developers, users, hobbyists, creators, artists, and market makers spend their days and nights thinking, building, talking about Ethereum because we are... excited. We're excited by the idea that Ethereum can change things. This May, we invite you to come learn what all the talk is about. We are joined by the leading teams in the ecosystem such as Polygon, Metamask, Aave, 1inch and Gnosis Chain who have a number of prizes up for grabs! This event is focused on building a new product/protocol, learning at the summits through talks and workshops, and giving opportunities to gain valuable feedback from ecosystem champions at the beautiful Convento do Beato. It was an incredible experience, completely unlike any conference I have ever been to. I've been working on the institutional side of things for a while, but this is not a conference. This is a hackathon, and a real meeting with the community is something special. How do I feel about hackathons? I like their spirit.

It's a little tiring, but fun. We are always scared, like I don't know enough. I still think I don't know the ecosystem well enough. So I would advise you to come and just try it, and don't be afraid, because you will probably know a lot more than you think. The energy here in Lisbon seems to be that people have a lot more knowledge about blockchain and a little more experience.

So we have people coming to us and asking us questions that seem to start from a higher level of knowledge, which is also really cool to see. Lisbon is interesting because it has a strong community, especially builders and people who are actually actively contributing to the development of this space. So I'm very happy to be here, among everyone. I moved here a few months ago because everyone working in cryptocurrency seemed to be either in Williamsburg or Lisbon. And the energy here is incredible, especially at this event.

Everyone is working on something exciting. The best thing for novice hackers is to drink from a fire hose. There is so much useful information at hackathons. Be fully immersed in your learning. Be among people.

Contact sponsors. Read the documentation. Attend all events, because hackathons events, because hackathons are one of the best ways to learn. Unfortunately, in recent years we have had so many projects without a foundation, without the necessary preparation. And if they had just that little bit of support, just that little bit of knowledge that they lacked, I know that every tree ecosystem would be so much better than it is now.

The most important thing is The most important thing is to create something from which you can learn as much as possible. You don't need to create the most amazing product of all time, like something crazy. My favorite part is definitely the creation process. Work with developers face-to- developers face-to- face, encourage them to think about new possibilities and new ideas. UX designer or UI UX designer or UI designer, the Web3 space needs many of your skills.

Be confident in your team and try to do your best. Make something workable, submit it as early as possible , refine it afterwards. And again , you're here to have fun, so just enjoy yourself. Sleep before you come here, because you probably won't be doing much of this. Try to interact with as many teams at the stands as possible, those in attendance, meet people and just be prepared for 3 days of incredible fun.

I think Ethereum is the only tier-one platform that can actually take the whole world to tier-two, right? And be resilient enough and have enough research capacity to truly move the entire world on blockchain. So many people have been hacking for 2 days now, right? Or almost 3 days. If that doesn't tell you that you like the excitement of Web3, then there's still a lot to do, and I think it's only getting better and better.

I think today was fantastic. Of course, I have nothing to compare it to, but I just think that the quality of today's projects was really very high. They were solving some really big problems. Just a clear presentation during the demonstration. And of course, showing what you're creating, because that's the most interesting thing, and explaining how users can actually use it and what the user flow is.

975 participants were here this weekend, and of those, 650 were hackers from 51 different countries, and 30% of them were new to Web3, trying something for the first time in this space. This is great. Greetings to you all. You have succeeded. I really like the experience of sitting at a table at about 2:00 in the morning.

Everyone is trying to do something, and then you just hear someone giving a high five. And it's really exciting. Just being around this energy of people saying, "Yeah, we did it." So, at this hackathon, I would say, um, somewhere towards the end of last night, around 8:00 or 9:00 in the evening, I started to feel a little tired and I was hitting some walls. And then, around 1:00 a.

m., everything fell into place. I felt great, you know, I felt a surge of energy, and I just kept moving forward throughout the night, and eventually it all worked out. Good.
