[Music] welcome everyone my name is cartic and I am super excited to welcome all of you to eth Global New York E Local is about Innovation excitement curiosity creativity learning opportunities and just making better friends so this is the third time we've done in hackathon in New York and this keeps getting bigger and better we see more and more developers we see more and more people switching from web 2 to web 3 coming in building cool things and uh people are here naturally curious and interested and solving real world problems I think e Global is about building proximity around other people you can build at home and start working on your own thing but being around other hackers being around other builders is really inspiring keeps people accountable gives people creative ideas and you can find new teammates e Global does an incredible job of providing that inclusive safe space for people women and men are both inspired to come out IRL it just feels like a great productive environment for everybody yay yeah e Global New York the focus is obviously bringing a lot of new folks into web3 it's all about getting that Community together building something new and hopefully something that we can continue to build even after the these are really globally organized really wellth thought out opportunities for people to come and try the technology build with new technology experiment and learn the level of energy and excitement a number of new devs and seeing people on board into the space and try out blockchain technology for the first time is always of blasts I think the cool thing about the haathon is just how welcoming it is for web 2 developers there's all these different companies here that are like showing off their tools and like providing support on how to use them it's really nice to be around people that can actually teach you and show you things you didn't really think about [Music] before 3 2 1 [Music] this was my first eth Global hackathon as a judge a lot of the projects are very completely built out and very impressive everyone who comes in is just so eager to get their hands on new infrastructure and experiment in the world of crypto and web3 we saw a lot of really interesting things important things people being more thoughtful about their approach and problems that need to be solved in the ecosystem I noticed a lot of projects focusing on proof of humanity games games like real use applications building on top of layer 2os rollups by default and even some projects using AI all around some pretty Cutting Edge stuff FS are coming here without any ideas without you know team members Etc but are really forming those and ideating those during the event which just again speaks to you know the environment that e Global has created here folks have been uh grinding along for for 3 days now it's been fantastic we are inventing what's happening Al together and that means there's so much opportunity in what you can do in this space you Global is about pushing your own personal boundaries like all the boundaries in the industry but like what you can do yourself explore yourself as well connecting with other people I would say don't be intimidated just choose a problem and just go at it you should enjoy yourself meet awesome people and learn everything you want to learn St and finish with a good idea and a good execution you could have all the technical things in the world if you don't have a good idea is just a bunch of cod just being around people who are in the space I think that's super valuable deadlines are coming up but you know that you have what it takes to get to the end of the road that's one of the most fundamental things I'm taking away from this experience I've been e Global since the first one e water 2017 and I've been around here for six more years I come to almost all e Global and so yeah it's the best place to be e Global e go New York
