[Music] we keep coming back to eth Global hackathons because you guys run the best hackathons that there are how you're bringing in all these new people to the space and yet you have people who keep coming back hackathon after hackaton year after year and if I wasn't here to help hackers as a partner I would want to be here hacking myself the energy level here is so unique and we can continue to see this onboarding of people that come from a whole host of different backgrounds countries and there's a lot for them to do so you see it here uh today and you see it at every eth Global event in a way that is uh heartwarming the energy at eth Global is something I have never seen before it's really picking up in terms of momentum and excitement actually getting to build things that people are going to use [Applause] I say if you're a hacker looking for an idea to build make sure you attend to these hackathons because this space moves really quick every 6 months or so there's always something new that sort of creates new opportunities or res shifts the landscape this is not a conference this is where ideas come to life and we're just in an environment where people can play around and try new things there's no pressure to build something perfect you can experiment with new technologies and be kind of those first adopters that create the infrastructure that other builders [Music] use I've been a hacker uh a sponsor now a judge and every time there's progressively more energy even when you come by and you stroll at like 11:30 at night people are still hacking they're talking they're passionate they're excited uh crypto is alive and well and I'm just super excited to be here Brussels has had a special energy a lot of incredible hackers marinating on new ideas meeting new people this hackathon is really interesting because it's like very focused right now so it's cool seeing like how intentional all the teams are being right [Music] now it's definitely one of the biggest uh hackathon I've ever participated there are people from all over the world I actually came by myself and I joined a team of five developers so I already made 10 20 friends here and then we are using our bracelet to connect with other developers we are creating a platform where you can swap uh assets but also customize the pools I am building like Community notes for uh smart contracts we are doing a constructive research for diying neighborhoods in Mexico and Latin America [Music] I do think we're in this new cycle with crypto where we're just on the cusp of these consumer products that are really going to take off that are going to onboard a whole new set of groups into using blockchain technology as the norm and so I'm seeing this huge excitement amongst Builders of okay the tech is ready now it's just about scaling adoption and how do we scale adoption through building amazing things that people are excited to use and so solve really critical problems I think we're seeing like identity and privacy become a much more like critical part of what people are building one that I've seen at this hackathon that I'm really excited about is building a platform for whistleblowers that uses World ID to make sure it's a real human and when other people sort of confirm that claim that they're making we all know that all of them are real humans and not Bots trying to abuse the system keep me [Applause] going my interest has always been around solving actual problems so what is the intention behind what you're building and how does this technology solve that problem that you care about I love that something that starts in 3 days at an eth Global hackathon can become something so much bigger that has real real world impact [Music]
